Lean Bloom starts with Ti Kuan Yin, the “Iron Goddess of Mercy” oolong from Fujian province in China. Oolong sits between green and black tea: its leaves are only partly oxidized, then rolled by hand into tight curls that slowly open in your cup.
Ti Kuan Yin takes eight careful steps to make, from plucking and sun withering to rolling and final drying.
We blend it with green tea for smoothness, a hint of bergamot, the citrus behind Earl Grey, and four flower petals: globe amaranth, blue cornflower, calendula and marigold. The result is a cup that is lively and floral, with a gently creamy finish.
Why oolong?* Partial oxidation gives oolong a unique family of polyphenols, and it is one of the most studied teas for metabolism. In a study published in the Journal of Nutrition, men who drank oolong burned 3.4% more energy and 12% more fat over 24 hours than when they drank water.[1] In Japanese research, oolong raised energy expenditure by 10% within two hours, compared with 4% for green tea.[2] Oolong’s natural caffeine and L-theanine work together for clear, steady focus,[3] so you get a smooth lift instead of a spike.
Lean Bloom is low in caffeine, which makes it an easy cup before a morning walk, between meetings or on the way to the gym. Unsweetened, it has no sugar and virtually no calories, so it fits any routine you’re building.
The name says the intent. Lean Bloom is for leaning into the small, steady habits that help you grow: the walk you didn’t skip, the water you remembered, the unsweetened cup you chose. Brew it into your day, sip it slowly, and keep going. Steady progress deserves a great cup.
